What is Seesaw?
It's a student-driven digital portfolio that empowers students to independently document what they are learning at school. Easily capture student learning in ANY Form, photos, audio or video recordings, drawings, text notes and links. Connect families, so they can keep updated on what their child is learning.

Shortcuts for creating iconsUse shortcuts to create Seesaw icons in your activity instructions. Type in the text shortcut in between two : : (for example, :photo:) and when you save your activity, the icons will turn into emojis. Download these shortcuts as a PDF here.

Skills are available with Seesaw Plus & Seesaw for Schools
With Seesaw Skills, you can keep track of what skills or standards your students are working towards. Additionally, you can assign a 1-6 star rating to get a real-time understanding of how students are progressing. Families and students cannot see the Skill ratings, only teachers.
